Halloween Preparations

Loving the makeup and flowers in this pic! I already
have my headband made, but maybe next year I can
try something like this. I haven't decided how I want
to do my makeup, but I do have a few ideas rolling around
inside my skull.
Tonight I need to sweep off the front porch and get rid of one
icky spider web. Oh! We still have to get candy! How lame
would that be to forget the candy!!! I love Halloween!!!
I cannot wait to see the costumes tomorrow evening!
Happy Haunting!

Go Now....and LIVE

How great is this??? I had to share this simply because it
is so wonderful! Definitely words to embrace and live by.

I had a wonderful opportunity presented to me....which lead
to a decision that had to be made. Today I choose to go and live.
To be wild, crazy and free. I choose to be me and I choose this
new opportunity. Here's to a whole new adventure in this
insanse life of mine!!!!

Is it Halloween YET???

I'm so excited that Halloween is almost here!!! The above pic is my inspiration for my costume this year. I decided to dress as a dia de los muertos skeleton, and hubby is joining in on the idea! Last night we made a trip to Party City, Target, and Michaels. Target was a huge score! We found one adult skeleton costume and it was 30% off!!!! Can't beat that with a stick! =D

South Carolina State Fair

When I was a kid, the Fair seemed HUGE! We once had a double roller coaster, which was my fave ride. Now it's just getting smaller and smaller each year. I can remember how excited we would be just knowing we were going to the Fair, and how much we hated to leave at the end of the day. I remember riding rides with my brother and cousins, and one year my Grandmother even rode with me. She was such a dare-devil!!!

Mmmm....elephant ears!!!

Ooooh.....A Halloween Give-A-Away at Brandywine Boutique. I'm new to blogging, so I'm going to attempt linking to her awesome site. I love the Owl tag she has pictured....so cute!!! Ok...crossing my fingers and hoping this works!

Opossum Paul

Last week when hubby arrived home from work, he saw our Lily playing with what appeared to be one of her toys. Turns out, it was a small opossum that had wandered into our yard. He managed to get the little fella away from her, and we nurtured it until it was ready to be returned to the wild. We carried Opossum Paul to my Dad's house, which has a nice wooded area behind it. We hope he will be very happy there!

Loving this Fall weather!

Living in South Carolina, the weather and temperature in October can be unpredictable.....which makes it kinda fun. We go from teeth-chattering freezing in the mornings, to peeling off layers of clothing and turning up the AC in the afternoon. Right now, I'm loving the cool & foggy mornings, the pumpkins on porches, and the leaves that are starting to change. Fall is definitely my favorite time of year!
